Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you create an account, start a trial, purchase access or use Online Teacher Planner.
Last updated 11 July 2026
Acceptance and accounts
By creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing access or using Online Teacher Planner, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, notify support of suspected unauthorised access, and not share an individual account with other people.
Free trials
Eligible users may receive one seven-day free trial. No payment method is required unless expressly stated. Trial access begins after your email is verified and the trial is activated, and expires automatically after seven days. A purchase is needed to continue after expiry. Duplicate accounts or trial misuse may be refused or revoked. We may manually grant additional access in appropriate circumstances.
Paid access and additional purchases
Paid access is provided for the fixed period shown at purchase: Term Access is 10 weeks, Semester Access is 20 weeks and Yearly Access is 52 weeks. Plans do not renew automatically unless renewal is clearly displayed and accepted at Shopify checkout. Shopify must confirm payment, and the purchase must be matched to a verified Online Teacher Planner account. If a wallet uses a different checkout email, the secure link sent to that email must be completed before it can be linked to a separately verified planner account.
When you buy another plan while access is active, the additional paid period starts after the current active access period. This preserves the full paid duration rather than overlapping it.
Referral program
When the referral program is available, an active verified account may receive an opaque personal referral link. A new teacher must follow a valid link within the attribution window, create a genuinely new account, verify their email and complete their first legitimate paid purchase of a recognised planner-access product. Referral attribution comes from Online Teacher Planner records, not merely from entering a Shopify discount code.
The referred friend may receive the advertised first-purchase discount at Shopify checkout. A referral qualifies only after the configured validation period completes without a refund, dispute, cancellation, payment reversal, test order or other invalidating event. Each referred account and purchase can be credited only once, self-referrals and promotion misuse are prohibited, and qualified referrals can be consumed only once. The current threshold and reward duration are shown on the referral page; rewards repeat for every complete threshold and earned access is appended under the normal entitlement rules.
A later refund or dispute may disqualify an unallocated referral. If a reversal occurs after a reward has already been granted, it may be reviewed for fraud, but unrelated paid access is not automatically removed. The referral validation period does not restrict any legal or contractual refund right. We may pause, change or end the program prospectively, while retaining accurate records of rewards already granted.
Marketing email choice
Marketing email consent is optional and separate from accepting these Terms, using a trial, purchasing access or participating in referrals. Promotional referral emails are sent only while current consent is recorded and the address is not unsubscribed or suppressed. Every promotional referral email includes an unsubscribe link; essential account, verification, security, purchase, billing, refund and access messages continue after marketing opt-out.
Licence and acceptable use
During an active trial or paid period, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the service. Individual plans are for one person unless a separate school, organisation or multi-user licence is expressly offered.
You must not share accounts, attempt unauthorised access, bypass access controls, reverse engineer the service, interfere with security, upload malicious code, use the service unlawfully or to harm others, misuse trials, payments, refunds or promotions, or resell access without permission.
Student data and your content
You are responsible for having lawful and authorised grounds to enter information about students, staff, classes or school activities, and for following school policies, employer rules, professional duties and privacy obligations. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information and use de-identified information where practical. The service is not an official student-management, medical, safeguarding, child-protection, emergency or mandatory school-record system.
You retain ownership of content you enter. You grant us only the limited rights needed to host, store, process, display, back up and transmit it to provide the service. You are responsible for its legality, accuracy and appropriateness. Keep or export copies of information you reasonably need; the service is not a substitute for official school record or retention systems.
Availability and product changes
The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical faults or other events. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service, but continuous uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. We may update, improve, replace or discontinue features. We will not intentionally remove essential functionality of a paid plan during its access period without a reasonable alternative or an appropriate remedy where required by law.
Suspension, refunds and disputes
We may temporarily suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate unauthorised access, security threats, fraud, unlawful use, serious misuse, material breach, payment disputes or chargebacks. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Access may be terminated for serious or repeated breaches, fraud, chargebacks, payment reversals, abuse or conduct that materially threatens the service or others.
Approved refunds are handled under the Refund Policy. Any full or partial monetary refund revokes the access associated with that purchase unless we expressly confirm otherwise; this may happen automatically after Shopify sends confirmation. Chargebacks, disputes and payment reversals may also suspend or revoke access. Access may be restored if payment is reinstated or an administrator decides restoration is appropriate.
Consumer rights, liability and third parties
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect loss, loss caused by user error, internet failure, third-party services outside our reasonable control, failure to keep independent copies of important information, or unauthorised access resulting from failure to secure credentials.
Shopify and other providers operate under their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages or conduct outside our reasonable control, subject to applicable law.
Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The parties submit to the courts and tribunals having jurisdiction in New South Wales, subject to any consumer right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.
Material changes will be posted on the website and the effective date updated. For significant changes affecting existing paid access, reasonable notice will be provided where practical.
